At the same time as Kengo Kuma was designing the 2020 olympic stadium in Tokyo, he was designing this quiet tea house atop a skyscraper in downtown Vancouver. Kuma-san’s ability to express himself and his points of view on two drastically different scales with no loss of attention to detail and quality is something that has never stopped inspiring me.
